My Client is looking for a Senior Computer Operator to join the Computer Operations team; taking an active role in running the Vista systems which support 3 sites. The applicant will need a minimum of 5 years VMS Alpha Platform experience at command prompt level with Vista experience desirable. The applicant must be PC literate, able to work with machinery. The ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team is vital. A professional attitude is important as the role requires the successful applicant to deal with both internal and external customers. The applicant will work a 3-shift rotation system plus 1 weekend in 3, covering 5 hours. The rotating shift hours are Monday to Friday 06:00 - 13:10 10:00 - 17:10 12:50 - 20:00 Additional Saturday working will be required at month end. The applicant will need to be flexible to change or extend shifts at short notice to maintain cover where required, due to holidays, sickness or identified system problems.
